How to Reply to Google Reviews from Your iPhone or Android Phone

Replying to reviews is one of the simplest things you can do to build trust on Google, and you do not need a laptop to do it. Here are three ways to answer Google reviews from your phone, from quickest to most powerful.

Before you start

• You must be an owner or manager of the Business Profile. If you are not, ask the current owner to add you.
• Use the Google account that has access to the profile.
• Replies are public and appear under your business name, so read the review fully before answering.

Option 1: Reply in the Google Maps app

1. Open Google Maps and sign in with the account that manages your business.
2. Tap your profile picture and open your business profile (or search for your business and open it).
3. Go to the Reviews section.
4. Find the review and tap Reply.
5. Write your response and tap Post (or Submit).

Option 2: Reply from Google Search in your mobile browser

1. Open Chrome or Safari and search for your exact business name while signed in.
2. Your Business Profile management panel appears at the top of the results.
3. Tap Read reviews (or Reviews).
4. Tap Reply under the review, write your answer and post it.

Both options work well for one location and a handful of reviews. They get slow when you manage several locations or several Google accounts, because you have to switch between profiles and there is no single list of unanswered reviews.

Option 3: Use a dedicated review app

1. Download the app and sign in with Google on Google's own sign-in page.

• Use the reviewer's first name and mention something specific they said.
• Keep it short. Two to four sentences is plenty for most reviews.
